The Philippines opened its doors to Jews who are escaping the Nazis in Europe in the 1940’s. President Manuel L Quezon was the only President who openly accepted Jews from Germany and other parts of Europe to escape certain death or enslavement. More than 1200 Jews was able to go to the Philippines to escape the holocaust in Europe.

The Jews were warmly welcomed by the Filipinos. Some of them were able to stay in the Philippine for more than nine years. If the Japanese did not attack the Philippines a lot of them would have still been living here. The Untold Story of Filipinos and Jews will explain why Israel and the Philippines has very ties. Israel is currently helping the Philippines build up its military force and with employment.
