Good News for OFW’s in Riyadh. The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh announced a new feature of their website. OFW’s or Filipinos who renewed their passport in the Philippine Embassy in Riyadh can now check if their passport is ready for release online.

For those who need to renew their passport in Riyadh you have to obtain an appointment from the online system. Simply go to http://www.philembassy-riyadh.org/ and click E-PASSPORT ONLINE APPOINMENT located at the right panel.

First time user must sign up first before they can fill up the online appointment system form. It is very important to use your own working email since a confirmation email will be sent to you. You will need to print out that email and bring it with you to the embassy along with the other documentary requirements.

OFWs of Filipinos can choose the appointment time and date that is available and most convenient for them. Once your appointment has been confirmed and you have received the email it is important to be in the embassy 15 minutes before your appointment time or your appointment is considered cancelled.

The embassy also reminded the public that a passport which remains unclaimed for six months will be cancelled to comply with Deportment Order # 37-03.
